This is a two-day hike, offering spectacular sunset and sunrise experience at the mountain hut situated over 2600m above the sea level.
From Grindelwald, we take a bus to Bussalp, a place at 1800 metres above sea level with magnificent view of the Alps. Then we start our first day by hiking uphill through the emerald-green valleys, surrounded by the mountains and cows.

After crossing meadows and streams, we arrive in a rocky trail which give us another hiking experience. This area is amazing and very different from what we did till now. Arriving on the top, there is a small hut where we can sit for a bigger rest while enjoying the open views. From here, we can appreciate many peaks: Wetterhorn (3692m), Schrekhorn (4078m), Eiger (3970m), Mönch (4107m), Jungfrau (4158m), and others.
It is now time to start our downhill to the beautiful lake Bachalpsee. This is a big attraction in Grindelwald, so expect other tourists around. We can chill on the grass, put our feet in the water and appreciate the spectacular surroundings.
After recovering energy, we start our last climb of the day towards the oldest mountain hut in Europe, where we will be spending the night. With the spellbinding views of the surrounding mountains and Brienzersee and Thunersee lakes, we enjoy delicious dinner prepared by the hut. The evening will be spend resting, enjoying each other company and experiencing spectacular sunset in the mountains.
In the morning we are woken up by an unforgettable sunrise in all its splendour, making it one of the most memorable parts of your holidays. We start our hike by descending back to the Lake Bachalpsee, and continue down on to the First, where you can try out its famous Cliff Walk. We hike down a bit more until the next gondola station: Schreckfeld. We take the cable car down to Grindelwald or, If you still have energy left and want some adrenaline, you can try out the mountain Karts, and then go down to Grindelwald (the karts are not included in our activity and you would do it on your own).
The price includes a night in a mixed dormitory and half-board at the Faulhorn mountain hut. There is an option to book a private room for an extra price (33CHF). The bathroom is shared and there is no hot water available.
